netMIND Product Overview netMIND product models are routers/secure fortressWALL/virusBLOCK™ hardware/software devices designed on a unique modular concept to make upgrading as easy as possible when the Internet changes. The netMIND products allow an unlimited number of users to connect to the Internet simultaneously through a single Internet Service Provider (ISP) account per physical location. The netMIND appliance can easily be configured to analog phone lines, DSL, Sprint Broadband, ISDN, Cable Modem, T-1 or USB external 3-COM ISDN modems and includes a PROVEN SECURE fotressWALL. and a denial meter that records intrusion attempts. Exclusive virusBLOCK™ BACK TO TOP Viruses are very costly and destructive to computer systems and networks. The most effective way for a virus to infect a computer is to be a worm virus looking for open ports or to be an executable CODE virus embedded in an E-mail attachment. Our netMIND secure fortressWALL stops all worm viruses looking for open ports. With virusBLOCK™ enabled, all messages containing embedded executable CODE attachments, which are not authorized by the recipient, are stripped from the E-mail prior to reaching the computer. Viruses usually are executable attachments known as a Trojan Horse. virusBLOCK™ STOPS Trojan horse viruses from gaining access to the computer or computer network. Sircam, CodeRed, W32/DONUT, etc. are Trojan Horse viruses and are not allowed in the computer. virusBLOCK™ advises the E-mail recipient when an infected attachment has be removed.
